7/9/2018 0 Comments The Single Girls New Favorite Summer Accessory | A Unique Wood Women’s Watch by Jord
I have a new favorite summer accessory, and it’s this wood watch by Jord. Before I get into all the beautiful details about this wooden watch let me give you a little back story on why this is my new favorite summer accessory!
Summertime is the season for rosé drinking, rooftops, vacationing, having fun with your girlfriends, dancing, and disconnecting from society so that you can re-boot! Basically, it’s the perfect time for self-love. Sign up for my newsletter to receive “A 7-Day Guide to Loving Yourself Every Single (And Not So Single) Girl Should Have” and it’ll all make sense! All of those summer activities can be absolutely AMAZING!! BUT if you’re constantly looking at your phone to check the time you then get distracted with what’s going in your digital world versus what’s happening right in front of you. Social Media and E-mail Notifications are something we can all be driven by, I know I’m guilty! Oftentimes we miss out on being present because we are bound to our phones and having to respond “RIGHT NOW”.
Which is why I have a new favorite summer accessory. Not only is my wooden watch beautiful, I’m wearing the Cassia Watch Series in Walnut and Vintage Rose (Soo Classy!), but it also allow me to keep track of the time without having to pick up my phone. Stylish and practical! Talk about a win win.
Let’s get back to the watch color though, isn’t the walnut wood absolutely gorgeous against the rose colored watch face? I LOVED that this women’s watch has hints of my favorite colors pink and rose gold without being over the top. This is a piece that I can and will wear everywhere this summer! Hence my new favorite summer accessory. I was also able to engrave my watch with The Single Girl Life’s mission statement words - Fearless, Empowered, Stronger (You can read more about why I chose those words here). So now I can walk around with a daily powerful reminder right on my wrist.
There are just so many different elements that will make this wooden watch the talk of all your summer parties. So, check out other Jord women’s watches and wood/color pairings here. Then make sure you enter the giveaway here so that you can win a $100 credit towards purchasing your VERY OWN unique wood women’s watch by Jord. Good Luck! Xoxo, @kellithinks

The concept actually began with MTL Loves BKLYN. Kevin and Luke, the faces behind the brand and former geography majors, were in Montreal for a bachelor party taking in the city’s culture and scene and noticed the feel was very much like Brooklyn, determining that these two cities were sister cities. Sister City: A city that is linked to another, usually for the purposes of cultural exchange. Brooklyn: One of the Burroughs of NYC (The Cultural Melting Pot) and perfect hub because of it’s rising popularity and distinct cultural environment and style. Geography and Fashion Intertwined. The hope was by connecting different sister cities with Brooklyn they could create a “movement of appreciation” between different cities connecting cultures and people with fashion. And I would say they’ve accomplished this. So whether you Love BKLYN or want to start an important political conversation with a Trump Hates t-shirt. Loves BKLYN has something for you. Locally owned boutiques are often the best! Not only do they offer something different from your typical off the rack items found in every day department stores, but often times you get to connect with whoever actually owns the store making for a much more personable shopping experience. Why would you want to go somewhere to buy something that everyone else is going to have? I'd rather not if I can help it. If you're in Portland, OR or NYC or LOVE to shop online, you should check out the below two stores! They describe themselves as an eclectic boutique, and I would expect nothing less considering they're based in Portland. When I walked into this store after a stressful day of working, all my problems instantly melted away. The number of quirky, fun, fashion forward pieces this boutique offers is amazing! And what's even better is that they carry local Portland designers as well. I felt like I got the full "hipster" experience when I walked into the store. And the customer service can't be beat, nothing like the feeling of shopping with an old friend. AND I liked that they carried XS, being a petite female finding things in my size can often times be a problem! Brooklyn Bleu
Coined Fierce. Fabulous. Fun. Brooklyn Bleu is everything you would want from your vintage shopping experience. Located in the famed Artists and Fleas shopping community in Chelsea and Soho, Brooklyn Bleu knows how to compete with trends. But funny enough, they aren't competing at all because they're in a league of their own. With pieces from collections they've named re.fresh, dainty, gatsby, and statement, you're sure to find something that fits your style without the clutter of some other vintage stores. They truly offer something for everyone and in a wide range of prices too. From jewelry to clothing to purses whatever piece you choose will be truly unique and help you take a step back through time in whatever moment you choose to be fierce, fabulous, or fun. Shop them on instagram @brooklynbleuny Photograph: Earrings are from the Dainty Collection (1970s). Necklace is from the Gatsby Collection (1940s-1960s). |
