Be Wristsponsible - How do you choose to make an impact?

passionate girl life style blog, Be a Woman of Impact
You don’t have to be a super hero to change the world!

There are many ways to make an impact, but how do you choose to make a difference?

And do you want to just donate money that helps a now problem or do you want to make a lasting change in someone’s life and future?

There are many things that you can choose to do in this world to make a difference, so how do we decide which one?

Personally, when I’m looking at organizations to give back to I want to know that my money is making a difference and a lasting change.

Wristsponsible is an organization that does just that. They’ve chosen to focus on making sure people in this world have access to safe and clean water, something that many of us take for granite. If you think about it, we use water in almost everything…to shower, wash our faces, brush our teeth, cook our food, make that much needed cup of coffee in the morning, amongst other things as well, and all we have to do is turn a knob to get it.

For some people and communities, it's not that easy.  Someone (oftentimes young women) will have to go out and walk miles to find water that’s not even drinkable. So, not only do they have to gather it,  but they have to go through a "sanitation process" that isn't really making their water very sanitary.

This is just no way to live!

But there are already organizations that help with these problems that we can just donate money to, so how is Wristsponsible different?  Read my three reasons below…

  1. Instead of just accepting donations (although they do that as well) you can purchase a bracelet that can act as a reminder to “slow down and live in the moment”. Wearing the bracelet will also act as a reminder that you’ve helped make a difference in a communities future. They have cute options in different colors and styles to choose from. (I like pairing the white band with another bracelet color for the oh so popular layered look! :D)
  2. The bracelets they sell are made by local artisans in the countries they are helping. So not only are you helping solve a communities water crisis but you are also giving someone a job!  You’ve literally helped two entities with one being a community. Not bad for purchasing a bracelet that cost you between $10 - $20.
  3. They Empower Communities. How do they do this?  By partnering with different organizations that bring water systems to these communities. And those water systems have now just allowed for people living in these places to have jobs. Water won’t bottle itself people!

And just one more thing I love about this organization is that one of creators behind the idea, Kevin Sofen, goes into these places to volunteer himself to make a change. Have to love someone who stands behind their platform 100%.

So what are you waiting for,  go be #wristsponsible and make an impact in someone's life and in a communities future.
