Who says you can’t have it all? The only person who can put limits on you is you. We’ve entered the last quarter of the year and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to slow down. I want to go into the end of this year strong, work wise and with my dating life. Who’s with me?? It’s been a long year, no one knows better then me. But we got this! Remember when things seem the toughest, that’s usually when you should keep going. Read below for a few tips to keep you strong until the end of the year. 1. Make a Plan - For business of course because we all know that life happens when you’re planning it. But definitely make a plan for business. Where do you see yourself ending the year? Was there something you had been wanting to do in your side hustle and you didn’t get around to it? Now is the time to plan on making it happen. Have you just been skating by at work? Reignite your passion or go find something you’re passionate about. There’s nothing worse then dreams that just stand still, so do something to make it happen. I believe in you. Xo 2. Stay Healthy - The end of the year brings on the colder season for many areas in the world which means that the flu and cold will be going around. Make sure you stock up on your vitamins, eat healthy, exercise, and listen to your body. Sometimes it's telling you to SLOW DOWN. Tip: One of my favorite vitamins is Ritual (Monthly subscription vitamins for women with the only the things we need.). Use this code to get $5 off your first bottle. 3. Go On a Date - Whether you’re in a relationship or not. Go on a date to try to change your situation (if that's what you're looking for) or go on one to re-ignite the spark (or make it stronger) in your current situation. As you know, I’m single. I’m not looking to change that with just anyone, but going on a date with someone who could potentially be the one could be exciting. The possibility of something new always is. Or maybe just go on a date with yourself, sometimes you just need to get excited about you again! Sign up for my newsletter to get my 7-Day Guide to Loving Yourself Every Single (And Not So Single) Girl Should Have - if you're looking to date yourself again. 4. Do Something Exciting - Sometimes we get into routines, especially towards the end of the year. So why not switch things up a little? Go to a new restaurant or bar. Go on a fun weekend adventure. Plan a trip for the new year. Whatever it is make sure it’s something for you and not something you would normally do! Is there something else you would add to this list? If so let me know below. 7/9/2018 0 Comments The Single Girls New Favorite Summer Accessory | A Unique Wood Women’s Watch by Jord
I have a new favorite summer accessory, and it’s this wood watch by Jord. Before I get into all the beautiful details about this wooden watch let me give you a little back story on why this is my new favorite summer accessory!
Summertime is the season for rosé drinking, rooftops, vacationing, having fun with your girlfriends, dancing, and disconnecting from society so that you can re-boot! Basically, it’s the perfect time for self-love. Sign up for my newsletter to receive “A 7-Day Guide to Loving Yourself Every Single (And Not So Single) Girl Should Have” and it’ll all make sense! All of those summer activities can be absolutely AMAZING!! BUT if you’re constantly looking at your phone to check the time you then get distracted with what’s going in your digital world versus what’s happening right in front of you. Social Media and E-mail Notifications are something we can all be driven by, I know I’m guilty! Oftentimes we miss out on being present because we are bound to our phones and having to respond “RIGHT NOW”.
Which is why I have a new favorite summer accessory. Not only is my wooden watch beautiful, I’m wearing the Cassia Watch Series in Walnut and Vintage Rose (Soo Classy!), but it also allow me to keep track of the time without having to pick up my phone. Stylish and practical! Talk about a win win.
Let’s get back to the watch color though, isn’t the walnut wood absolutely gorgeous against the rose colored watch face? I LOVED that this women’s watch has hints of my favorite colors pink and rose gold without being over the top. This is a piece that I can and will wear everywhere this summer! Hence my new favorite summer accessory. I was also able to engrave my watch with The Single Girl Life’s mission statement words - Fearless, Empowered, Stronger (You can read more about why I chose those words here). So now I can walk around with a daily powerful reminder right on my wrist.
There are just so many different elements that will make this wooden watch the talk of all your summer parties. So, check out other Jord women’s watches and wood/color pairings here. Then make sure you enter the giveaway here so that you can win a $100 credit towards purchasing your VERY OWN unique wood women’s watch by Jord. Good Luck! What do those words mean to you? As a woman living in today’s world these words mean EVERYTHING to me. They are the attitude of everything I want my life to embody. More then just words, they are a lifestyle of what today’s every girl should be. We live in a time much different from our mother’s and one where we need to make noise and a lot of it to be heard. We will not be silenced as women. My hope dear sister and friend is that you will hold these words close to your heart and when you feel the strength of these words pass this message along to another woman who may need to hear them. Fearless - As women we can do ANYTHING we set our minds to! Don’t be afraid to make bold moves. The only thing you can fail at in life is not trying at all. Empowered - “Be the CEO Your Parents Always Wanted You to Marry” is one of my new favorite quotes. You don’t need anyone to empower you but you! You got this girl, decide what you want and go for it! Stronger - You are always stronger then yesterday! Life’s little experiences shape us to be the women we are. Instead of feeling down about life take the lessons you learned from the day before and become stronger because of it! In fact, you may have even decided to go with one of the ones in my article The Single Girls Guide to Doing Summer Right BUT now you’re encountering real problems - packing for your summer adventure! You don’t want to overpack (I definitely did this on my first European Adventure) but you want to make sure you have all the essentials. Don’t worry, I’m here to help you do just that. Use the list below to make sure you pack all the right things for your summer adventure. Pick Out the Perfect Suitcase (To Put it All in Of Course!) The suitcase I currently own is an Aimee Kestenberg 24” hardcase suitcase in marine python. What I LOVED about this suitcase was its hard body (to prevent liquid damage or bugs living on your bag), bright and fun colors (because who wants to travel with a boring black bag plus it’s easier to spot when collecting your luggage), and that it expanded (for when you inevitably over shop when you’re on your trip)! All important things to me when traveling. Especially the expanding zipper! I like to make sure I don’t use it when packing so that I know I have room to grow on my trip. Pack the Perfect Outfits You want to make sure you look cute on your trip but not at the expense of over-packing clothing wise. This is where battles are won and lost ladies! Here are some things I usually pack to make sure there are options but space in my suit case as well. Rompers - It’s a t-shirt and shorts all at the same time! What could be better then that? Sundresses - The perfect one and done look! Jean Jacket - Versatile and perfect for those casual cool (temperature wise) evenings. Lightweight Leather Jacket- Versatile and perfect for when you’re going out on those cooler nights. Black or Neutral Going Out Dress - The perfect piece to have because you can wear again and again (Just pair with different jewelry). Bathing Suits - Make sure you bring a couple because what’s a vacation if you aren’t lounging pool or beach side? Undergarments - The more the better you may not be able to wash along the way. Shoes - I like to bring a pair of heels (not too high though, you may not always be walking on well paved roads), tennis shoes, and flats. Purse - It’s important to have the perfect day and night bag. Right now I’m obsessed with Saveida Sethi’s Sofiya Tote in Noir + Blanco as a day time bag. AND for the evening a classic clutch is always the perfect accessory! Jewelry - Pack a couple of pieces but not all of your best ones - these should be your travel pieces. I like to bring two necklaces to put on in the evenings (I alternate) , one pair of neutral studs, and one versatile bracelet! Misc Items - Pajamas, Sweatshirt, Socks, Hat, Lightweight Scarf, Leggings/Tights, Sunglasses Don’t Forget Toiletries Here’s my thought on toiletries, they take up ALOT of weight and space! So I like to purchase these when I get to my final destination (If I’m going somewhere where items are readily available) and toss them before I go home, I suggest you do this too! BUT Here’s something I never leave home without packing — FEMININE PRODUCTS. Wherever you’re going just may not have what you’re used to at home! Pack the Make-Up Essentials When I’m traveling, and typically at home too I’m not worried about wearing too much make-up. So I pack light, here are the basics I make sure I never leave home without. Tinted SPF Moisturizer - I currently use Ultra HD Perfector Blurring Skin Tint with SPF 25 Mascara - I’ve tried several different ones but I keep going back too - Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Red Lipstick - My current favorite is Nars Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Highlighter - I’m LOVING Smashbox + Vlada’s Petal Metal Highlighter in Prismatic Pearl (Don’t forget to check out The Single (And Not So Single) Girls Guide to the Perfect Summer Glow) These four categories should definitely help you make it to your final destination with you feeling stressed out about forgetting anything. Just remember though, these are the basics and really just the beginning to everything you need to pack for your perfect summer trip. Check back next week for Everything the Single (And Not So Single) Girl Needs to Know to Pack the Perfect Carry-On.
Was there anything I forgot? Let me know what you like to pack for your summer adventures below. Xoxo, @kellithinks |
