The Single (And Not So Single) Girls Guide to Glowing Skin

Everyone knows that I’m all about having GLOWING skin. I LOVE wearing highlighter literally all day every day, and wearing it as blush it’s definitely one of my signature looks. BUT how do you get that look without the make-up? The key is making sure you take care of your skin. That is why I was soo excited when Divante Laser MedSpa in Studio City, CA invited me to get a Microdermabrasion Facial.

So what is a microdermabrasion facial? Basically, it’s little crystals doing a deep exfoliation. The crystals take off the top layer of your skin leaving your face with a natural glow. And who doesn’t want a natural glow?

When getting any sort of treatment such as microdermabrasion, make sure you’re going to an accredited facility. Divante Laser MedSpa is definitely that if you happen to live near or around Studio City, CA, everything about this place is great! Walking into the MedSpa was like walking into spa heaven. Everything was so clean and bright but felt relaxing at the same time. To me that’s SOO important when going to any MedSpa. Especially the cleanliness as they are working with your skin. 

Not only was the facility great, but so were the people who worked there. When I was greeted at the door I felt so welcomed, and Kira (the lady who did my treatment) was so nice! She immediately made me feel comfortable which is also so important when having someone working so closely with your face. She also left me with some great tips on how to keep your skin hydrated during the wintertime. 

Read below for three quick tips!

1. Drink Lots of Water!
2. Moisturize - Use a Cream at Night and Lotion or Gel During the Day.
3. Be Careful with Hot Showers and Heaters. Yes it’s cold but it dries out your skin so make sure you do more of Number 1 and 2.

Now, a little bit about the the treatment itself. It was SOOO relaxing!! The room itself is soo calming and the treatment was fun! It was kind of an interesting feeling having the crystals run over my face.  

Quick Fact: There are no set amount of times for going over your skin with the crystals. It’s all dependent on how your skin looks after each pass. Your esthetician should be watching to make sure not too much skin is taken off and your face is not too red after the treatment.

After the microdermabrasion part, I got a facial as well! The treatments are sold separately but I feel it’s important to do the facial after as well. And their products are amazing! Everything felt so great and smelled so nice against my skin. This also gives you another reason to stay in your treatment room for as long as possible. Trust me, you’ll want to it’s soo relaxing!

On a whole, my time at Divante Laser MedSpa was WONDERFUL. I would definitely come here again and I’m now SUCH A FAN of microdermabrasion. It left my skin looking so fresh with a natural glow. All things that are so important to me. And I’ll definitely be using the tips from Kira to make sure I maintain that glow by keeping my skin hydrated.
